With great regret, after using Caterpillar work boots for years, I must say that they did not meet my expectations, the seams are weak, the interior has a material that makes the foot sweat a lot and looks of poor quality, the internal seams are uncomfortable in the foot, I read negative reviews before buying but I was reluctant to believe them because I always used caterpillar and they were good, but these boots let me down.I update my opinion, I bought these boots for work, I work in electricity and I like these boots so I tried to take care of them, I gave them a gentle treatment, I used them 20 times (without exaggeration) and it already shows broken seams and deterioration and my feet felt more tired, I checked the sole and I found a piece that looks like a simple cardboard (it they call technology "ease") does not help at all and the truth is I am disappointed in the quality of the boot, it is a nice boot on the outside but on the inside of poor quality, uncomfortable, not resistant, in general it is not for work.a pity that caterpillar makes this type of boots and more considering the cost (150 dollars).Cat boots are the only brand I ever buy. They fit the best and feel like tennis shoes even with the composite toe. Extremely durable I get several years of daily use out of them. The only problem I’ve found is the laces don’t stay tight and they changed the lace buckles and the new design isn’t as good as the old one but other than the lace issues I love my cat boots.So these are good boots , comfortable , water proof for sure. My issue is the quality vs the price tag. I really should have just ate the difference and went with my normal boot (timberland boondock )They suck to lace , the metal eyelets dig into ur ankle , After a few months of use, tread on sole has worn down quite a bit (used on smooth concrete floors in a heavy equipment mechanic shop) there is no breathability to these boots , and my feet absolutely sweat like craaaazy when I wear them . Honestly if your going to spend this kinda money on boots anyways , just up ur price range 30-40$ and get something better .I work on the beach doing dredging Im literally walking on the beach all day they were good first few days then sand got through somehow and now the soles have sand pockets cant wear them anymore unless i cut the sole and get the sand out somehow.I bought my first pair of these from a different retailer while I was traveling. I put them on the same day I bought them, and wore them all day long! My feet are fussy. But these boots are top notch in comfort. I bought them the end of September. So I don't have a wear report. I use them for every day use, cutting fire wood, cleaning the chicken coop, and hunting. They have kept my feet dry and warm even in a hard rain while hunting. I found Amazon had them, and now I have an pair in case Caterpillar changes the boot. These boots are awesome!The shoe fits as expected. However, my husband has to use a shoe horn to get into them. They also do not have the typical hooks for the laces, but rather the laces have to click into these "hooks".
