This cat tree went together really easily, and is solid. If I were asked for comments to improve it, I would have a couple of minor things. First, the base should be about 10% bigger. While it's stable enough, there have been a couple times where our cat decided to jump off of it from a weird angle, which basically sent it tipping over. If he sticks with the main ways of jumping off, it's no problem, but with a slightly larger base, I don't think it would be a problem since the imbalances on the outer portions would be better negated. Second, the wedge shaped ledge is in an odd spot - To allow our cat to get onto it, it has to be facing the front, which gives a very small gap on the level below it for our cat to get up onto it. A younger cat wouldn't have too much issues with it, probably, but since he's 17 he's a bit timid trying to maneuver it. You could swing that wedge shape towards the side, but then it's mostly blocked by the tray area above it and adult cats wouldn't be able to fit on it.Overall, though, this tree is giving our old man cat the ability to see out the front window of our house and bird and car watch while he's resting. When he's not sleeping on the comfy chair in his room, he's on that watching things or begging for treats, so even with those two minor things it's a win.The two cubbies on these are big enough for my adult cats and one of mine loves them. They never used the small cubby on our old tree. The bed at the top is a favorite nap spot and the scratching posts are used a lot. The ball is played with and I had to reattach it soon after it was assembled but there's a little ring to tie it to and they include an extra one.Assembly was a little confusing as they only had pictures, but I was able to find my mistake before I got too far. There was no bad smell and the fabric is not like carpet, so they don't try to scratch it. The cubbies are soft, stretchy fabric, so there are no rough places inside to bother the kitties. The perch is just high enough for them to look out our high bedroom window. The kitty in the photo is out small, 1 year old, but our big alpha kitty likes to sleep on the high bed, too.Overall, this was the best tree we could have hoped for!Product was difficult to assemble. Some holes were in the wrong locations and as such we had to make some of our own holes to make the product work. Not assembled the way the picture looked because it could not be done that way but once assembled it is sturdy and our cats seem to like it. Assembly took several hours and lots of angry words.I have 4 cats and they love it, the younger kittens love the scratch posts at the bottom. I did expect it to be taller though and for my oldest cat whose about 8 months it seems either just right or a little small as far as height goes for playing and climbing. The instructions were not clear, but wasn't that difficult to figure out!Very sturdy and my cats love it!My cats like it, they mostly use the top sitting area and the poof on top. They appreciated my purchase. Both my cats are 10lbs or less, so they fit nicely. Much larger cats may not fit as well, but I don’t have larger cats so it’s wonderful!I purchased this item for my granddaugter's cars. This was a prefect size for the smaller area they were putting it. It is sturdy and their cats really like it.
