Though the instruction for installing the cat tree is quite confusing, it’s not too difficult to figure out with some common sense. The cat tree is very sturdy and compact. My cat hung out in the “room” on day one. It is perfect for small space. The size is adverized as for large cats. However, when put together my adult cats did like it. I actually added a longer top on it to allow the cats room to lie down, and added it to my already existing cat tree area.I was nervous to get this because of the price for the size and the long delivery estimate (given we're leaving for a trip soon), but so far I'm very impressed! The shipping was FAST- it came *before* the earliest day in the estimated window. It wasn't too difficult to assemble, but the panels aren't labeled, so you have to figure out which is which based on the photos. If you lay out the pieces in the order they are on the page, you can number them left to right and they'll match up with the numbers in the instructions. Once you get that down, just make sure you're lining up the holes properly for future steps. It took me about 30 minutes with the cat constantly getting in the way, trying to play with the ball as I was assembling lol. She hopped in the hammock for a photo op before I even had a chance to clean up the packaging. I was a little worried it wouldn't be big enough for her (she's the biggest of our 3) but I think it's safe to say she's a fan. It's also very bottom-heavy, so I'm not worried about it tipping over too easily. The strength/quality of the wood is about what I expected- not ideal for human furniture, but excellent for cats. I expect to hold up well.shipped very quickly. i like the way this tower looks and that it is not all fabric as i want to reduce the amount of dust being accumulated. kitten loves the cave on the bottom although the hole is still so big light comes through, so i've draped a throw blanket over both sides of the tower so her cave can be a darker space for her. she's small and uninterested in the top two levels but sometimes i put her on the second level so she learns to use the middle hole to hop back down into the cave. the padding included is not thick or soft enough so i put a pillow inside. and so far she is uninterested/doesn't know what the scratching post and side pad are for.the holes did not all align in assembly (which took me about an hour bc the instructions are basically just unhelpful pictures) but with some tugging i made it work. the wood is not all sanded down so i will have to deal with that if i keep it. because the holes didn't all align, the whole foundation is a bit rocky and unleveled. it doesnt shake when she's in the cave but when i've put her on the second and third levels it rocks a bit. i put it in the corner of the room against the walls so that helps with the foundation a bit. but for the cost of the item it doesnt seem worth it to keep it if i have to do more work to sand it down and add something underneath to level it out and the blanket to block light. probably will keep it til the return window as i find a better quality cave tower.I was pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others. It is very sturdy and I like that it has three levels, although our cat spends most of his time on the very top. He’s a large, older cat but can easily get to the top. Easy to assemble. This looks great and one of my cats seems excited to play in it—he was poking around and trying to use the scratching post before I finished assembling. Two issues:1) not only were the instructions not the clearest, but I made it work with some trial and error.2) the wood, however, needed additional smoothing with sandpaper before I felt comfortable letting my cats use it—there were some rough edges. See photo. It’s the perfect size for my two 5 pound bunnies. They love it. Marshmallow hopped right on it when i gave it to them.stylish, durable, well made, colors are great and not faded, plenty of space and height to play, scratch, hangout and hide for the pussycat. planning to buy 3 more to build a castle/mansion!
