I bought this cat house for 2 cats - one a stray and the other an indoor/outdoor cat for whom I wanted a warm place in case I wasn't home to let him in. It's easy to assemble, well insulated, and I like that it has two entrances so a cat can escape if it feels threatened. Both my cars are pretty large but have no problem getting in and out or moving from level to level. I also like that I can access each level to keep the house clean and to add water and candles on especially cold nights. There is a large window on the upper level that can be "shut" with the insulated layer during especially cold weather. Although it is well insulated, I purchased two pressure activated heating pads because temperatures here can dip into the teens. The pads have cords but I had no problem running the cords outside to the outlet. Overall, I feel much more secure knowing that the cats are comfortable on nights that dip down into the teens.
